Japan output of forged copper and copper alloys fell 31 percent in August from a year earlier
According to the Japan Copper and Brass Association, production of forged Copper and Copper alloys in Japan fell for a 21st consecutive month in August, falling 31% from a year earlier to 36,750 tonnes, or 8. 8% since 1967. The lowest monthly figure for the same period was also the smallest monthly output since March 2009.
The association expects demand for forged copper and copper alloy products in the country to fall 16% year on year to 622,600 tons in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2021.
